Celebrating the customs which make Christmas special!
Issue information
The Christmas 1994 issue comprised six stamps, which not only celebrated the customs we hold dear, but reminded us of the warmth and spirit of togetherness which is so much a part of Christmas.
Most adults will have special memories of Christmas as a child. Perhaps it's the feeling of intense anticipation and excitement as the tree is trimmed ready for the big day; the sight of the 'Christmas Story' brought to life with a nativity scene featuring Mary, Joseph, baby Jesus and the animals which shared the stable; or the magical sound of carol singers' voices filling the church.
Although we lose some of that child-like awe as we grow up it is replaced with something more permanent. An appreciation of the opportunity Christmas gives us to celebrate with the people we love.
