Sheet of 20 x $2.90 'Dawn Services' stamps.
Anzac Day commemorations begin at dawn with services held around the country to mark the time when Anzac troops initially landed at Gallipoli. The services, held by military personnel, local dignitaries, and members of the Returned and Services Association (RSA), include a reading of the Ode of Remembrance, and a lone bugle playing the Last Post, followed by a minute of silence acknowledging those who paid the ultimate sacrifice. International Anzac Day dawn services are also held in Gallipoli and Chunuk Bair in Türkiye.
This stamp issue commemorates the rituals and customs surrounding Aotearoa New Zealand’s annual day of remembrance. Click here for more information.
