Design
This dynamic design by Mike Guilfoyle featured a rugby player, ball tucked under arm, in full flight. The design also incorporated the islands of New Zealand and was completed with the crest of the British & Irish Lions. All of this was encompassed within the shape of a rugby ball.
Struck in rich 22 carat gold, to matchless proof finish, the coin was housed in an attractive red velour presentation case and came complete with an individually-numbered certificate of authenticity confirming its strict issue limit of just 1,000. The presentation case also included the British & Irish Lions logo embossed in gold.
