New Zealand Post commemorated this exhibition with this special stamp issue.
Issue information
The Israel '98 World Stamp Exhibition was held at the Israeli Trade Fairs and Convention Centre in Tel Aviv between 13 and 21 May 1998 as part of Israel's 50th anniversary celebrations.
The exhibition, held under the patronage of the International Philatelic Federation (FIP), commemorated the issue of the Doar Ivri stamps, the first official issue of the then new Israeli state.
To commemorate this very special exhibition, New Zealand Post produced two exhibition miniature sheets and a souvenir cover.
