Design

This 1g gold proof ingot incorporates designs from the New Zealand Olympic Committee’s (NZOC) 2024 campaign.

The NZOC logo includes the Olympic rings and the silver fern which represents a unified identity and the interconnectedness of athletes and the people who support them. Along with the NZOC logo, this coin incorporates one of three waihanga - patterns that have been created to represent the values of the New Zealand Olympic Team. Niho Tangata (the teeth of the serpent), the waihanga featured on this coin, represents intent, purpose, interconnectedness, movement and communication.

This coin issue celebrates Aotearoa New Zealand’s Olympic athletes. Click here for more information.

Paris 2024 Olympic Games 1g Gold Proof Ingot

Posted by Fred on 4th Aug 2024

I now know they are not individually numbered display cases . And the description has changed .To now confirmed they are not numbered . That is disappointing due to all other NZ coins have come with a certificate of authenticity that is numbered . How we have no proof .
