The pīwakawaka, or fantail, is one of New Zealand’s smallest and most energetic birds. You may find yourself being joyfully followed by a pīwakawaka when you go for a walk in the bush! Shown here with Clematis flowers. New Zealand was one of the first countries in the world to put pictures of the countryside, birds, and animals on its stamps. These stamps became known as pictorials.

Little Taonga means treasure or prized possession in Māori culture. Each design captures a little something to be treasured - the places, nature, and icons that make Aotearoa New Zealand so special.

The necklace comes packaged in a fabric slip case.
