On 28 August 2004 Singapore opened its World Championship Exhibition.
Issue information
The theme of the World Championship Exhibition was ‘Uniting the world through stamps’.
This five-day mega philatelic event coincided with the 150th anniversary of the first use of stamps in Singapore, and would feature more than 2,000 frames of world-class competitive exhibits.
New Zealand Post commemorated this event with a miniature sheet that included four stamps from our New Zealand Home of Middle-earth stamp issue. You could also purchase a special souvenir cover that featured the Singapore city skyline.
