The proceeds of the 'Health' value of 1934 Health stamps was donated to the Children's Health Camps movement.

Issue information

The stamp design depicts a mounted crusader, wearing the traditional armour of the period. He holds a banner inscribed with the word 'HEALTH'. Whereas the crusaders of 1096 wore a cross upon their backs, the crusader in the design is shown wearing a Greek cross on his breastplate. The shield, supported on the forearm of the crusader, also bears a cross, and the stamp is inscribed 'Crusade For Health 1934'.
