The main feature of the 1936 Health stamp issue was a bright-eyed, smiling girl looking through a lifebuoy, with a modified reproduction of a view of the Otaki Health Camp in the background. The lifebuoy was inscribed with the slogan "Safeguard Health". Sprays of kōwhai leaves and flowers flanked the top of the stamp.
Issue information
The success which was achieved by the organised effort in 1935 inspired even greater enthusiam in the 1936 sales campaign, and the final result was that 1,449,980 stamps were sold, resulting in £6,042 donated to the Children's Health Camps movement.
