A Royal portrait by Marcus Adams Ltd, London, was used as the basis for the design for the 1950 Health stamp issue.
Issue information
The portrait featured Princess Elizabeth and Prince Charles, the necessary approval to portray the Royal portrait on the stamps was obtained from His Majesty King George VI.
The proceeds of the 'Health' value of these 1950 Health stamps were donated to the Children's Health Camps movement.
