The 1986 Health Stamp Issue introduced a new theme of 'Children at Play'.

Issue information

Primary school children throughout New Zealand were encouraged to participate in the 1986 Health Stamp Design Competition, showing their originality and ingenuity in the interpretation of the theme.

The winners (Kylie Epapara, Phillip Kata and Mia Flannery) were aged between 5 and 7 years old.

The proceeds of the 'Health' value of health stamps were donated to Children's Health Camps movement.
