At 11mm in diameter, this exquisite .5g gold coin commemorating the coronation of King Charles III features His Majesty's royal cypher.
Each coin in this issue features a portrait of the King on the obverse. Wellington designer and illustrator Stephen Fuller developed the effigy to be used on New Zealand commemorative coins, and it was personally approved by the King.

2023 King Charles III Coronation 0.5g Gold Proof Coin
A beautiful little coin, art in miniature. Great that there are some affordable smaller gold coins like this for collectors to obtain without breaking the bank. Comes in a very attractive red case, but the tiny coin does look a little lost in it. Overall though I'm delighted to add it to my collection, especially as one of the first official NZ coins with King Charles III's portrait.
