Sheet of 20 x $4.00 Tokoeka/southern brown kiwi stamps.
The Rakiura subspecies has the highest population of the three tokoeka taxa, with an estimated population of 20,000 that well outnumbers Rakiura/Stewart Island’s human residents. Kiwi are often seen on the beach foraging for food.
This stamp issue highlights all five of Aotearoa New Zealand’s kiwi birds in rarely produced round stamps. Click here to find out more.
