Sheet of 20 x $4.20 'Memorials' stamps.
In the years between World Wars I and II, hundreds of civic monuments were built throughout New Zealand in honour of local soldiers who were killed in action and those who served. These monuments are still used as the sites of Anzac Day services and other commemorative events.
This stamp issue commemorates the rituals and customs surrounding Aotearoa New Zealand’s annual day of remembrance. Click here for more information.
