Sheet of 20 x $3.60 'Peace on Earth' gummed stamps
The gentle giants of our native forests, kererū (native pigeons) are the only birds large enough to eat the fruits of miro, pūriri, and tawa trees, making them important seed dispersal agents for regenerating forests. In the spring-summer months, you’ll see them gorging on fruits and sometimes overindulging on fermented berries. They make a soft, peaceful cooing call but are more likely recognised for the sound of their swooping wing beats.
Our Christmas stamps for 2026 showcase some of our unique native manu (birds). Click here for more information.
