Ngāi Tipu Taketake – Indigenous Plants of Aotearoa A2 Poster
This A2 poster features 27 hand painted plant species endemic to Aotearoa, New Zealand - they are not found anywhere else in the world. Central in the design is the female and male cones and leaves of the mighty kauri (Agathis australis) in tribute to the guardian and atua/God of the ngahere/forest Tāne Mahuta.
Whether you are beginning to learn about native plant and animal species or are a full-blown enthusiast, this colourful poster is perfect to learn their names and identify in the wild or share your appreciation of them with those you care about. Species have been selected to demonstrate variety and character, lovingly hand-painted and carefully collated along with their names in te reo Māori, English and Latin.
