Building on the phenomenal success of the Hong Kong ‘97 International Stamp Exhibition, Hong Kong 2001 was held from 1-5 February 2001.
Issue information
The Hong Kong Stamp Exhibition offered a rich array of the world’s finest philately exhibits for the appreciation of collectors and the public. It also created a setting for postal administrations and stamp dealers to promote their products and business.
New Zealand Post issued a Threatened Birds exhibition miniature sheet and souvenir envelope. The design combined the Hong Kong exhibition logo and the Victoria Harbour cityscape at sunset with two stamps - the North Island weka and the Okarito brown kiwi.
