As part of the Commonwealth, Niue has strong links with the Queen and is joining the rest of the world in celebrating the 60th Anniversary of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II’s Coronation.

The two gummed stamps in the issue feature photographs from the days surrounding the Queen’s coronation ceremony.
$2.40 - 60th Anniversary of the Coronation Stamp
The $2.40 stamp shows Queen Elizabeth II wearing the State Crown and carrying the State orb in a Royal carriage after her Coronation ceremony. The Queen was on her way to Buckingham Palace and the route taken was designed so that the procession could be seen by as many people in London as possible
$3.40 – 60th Anniversary of the Coronation Stamp
The photo on the $3.40 stamp was taken the day after the Coronation ceremony and pictures Queen Elizabeth II (left) with Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, Princess Margaret Rose (1930 - 2002) and Queen Elizabeth

A miniature sheet and two first day covers are also available to complete the collection.
