Sheet of 20 x $4.20 'DD Smash' stamps
After Th’ Dudes folded in 1980, Dave Dobbyn took the lead, forming DD Smash (briefly Dave Dobbyn’s Divers). Their 1982 debut album Cool Bananas made an historic debut at number 1 in the national chart. They gained further fans after recruiting a brass section, and single Outlook for Thursday went gold.
This stamp issue celebrates Sir Dave Dobbyn, a music icon of Aotearoa New Zealand. Click here for more information.
