New Zealand Post issued this stamp issue to commemorate the 10th Asian International Philatelic Exhibition.
Issue information
The 10th Asian International Philatelic Exhibition took place in Taipei, Taiwan on 21-27 October 1996.
New Zealand Post issued a special exhibition miniature sheet which featured stamps from the 1996 Wildlife issue. Based on the design of the se-tenant block released with this issue, only the 80c and $1.80 stamps were perforated.
The Extinct Birds miniature sheet was also overprinted for Taipei ’96 and was available with a souvenir cover.
