New Zealand is rapidly cementing its place as a superb filmmaking location – so after the success of The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, it was no surprise that Kiwi director Andrew Adamson chose to return to direct the next in the Narnia series. Our breathtaking, largely unpopulated landscape offered ample opportunities for the drama, intrigue and adventure of The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian.
Issue information
New Zealand locations chosen for this instalment included Hereherataura Peninsula for the ruins of the castle Cair Paravel, and the South Island’s west coast, renowned for its craggy coastline and lush native rainforest. Proud of New Zealand’s contribution, New Zealand Post was delighted to present this range of The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian stamps and collectables - a new addition to the movie-based issues that have proved so popular with collectors and movie-goers alike.
The Perfect Prince Caspian Momentoes
This issue included five first day covers - one featured the four stamps and the other first day covers featured four miniature sheets which depicted High King Peter, Queen Susan, Prince Caspian and the four Pevensie siblings. Together, they made a fine collection, and a perfect memento of the movie.
The four miniature sheets placed our leading characters in some stunning locations - by the sea to deep in the heart of a dense and shadowy forest.
The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian presentation pack contained the four stamps, five first day covers and four miniature sheets, with more information on the story and the stamps, and made it a superb way to enjoy all the collectables in one place.
