Each year, New Zealand Post stamp issues took new, in-depth journeys to different aspects of New Zealand life. And each year, we brought these journeys together in one album.
Once a year, our stamps are brought together in one album. With full vivid full colour pictures and informative text from experts it was a lot more that our collected works. It was a unique photobook annual which took you to the heart of our country, traditions and heritage.
Pages of Interesting Reading
Based on the stamp issues from January to November 2001, this high-quality publication covered a diverse range of topics including New Zealand flora and fauna, traditions, cultural heritage and history. This publication included a mint set of 71 stamps and was securely contained in a protective slip case.
Full text provided a background to the topic of each issue and a commentary about the image in each stamp.
Knowledgeable contributors including Phillip O’Shea, the New Zealand Herald of Arms Extraordinary to the Monarchy, artist Philip Markham, and well known musical authority Professor Heath Lees made The New Zealand Stamp Collection 2001 as informative to read as it was attractive to look at.
