New Zealand Post produced a miniature sheet to commemorate The Stamp Show 2000 held at Earl’s Court in London from 22 to 28 May 2000.

Issue information

The miniature sheet design included the $1, $2 and $3 Scenic Definitives issued on 6 March 2000 and the background featured a New Zealand scene of the Big Ben Range in Canterbury. Both the miniature sheet and souvenir cover designs featured The Stamp Show 2000 logo. The logo included an image of the Penny Black - the first official postage stamp, issued in May 1840.

This international exhibition hosted a 'whole-world' competition with approximately 3,000 frames from all the recognised classes including Traditional, Thematics, Youth and Philatelic Literature. One of the major attractions was the display of stamps from the collection of Her Majesty the Queen.
