The Upper Hutt Stamp Club celebrated its Golden Jubilee in 2013 with a national stamp show and to commemorate New Zealand Post issued an exhibition miniature sheet and exhibition souvenir cover.
Issue information
The unique collectables in this issue showed the Hutt River and surrounding hills of Upper Hutt, as seen from Riverstone Terraces. Two stamps from the New Zealand Native Ferns stamp issue are incorporated into the miniature sheet, reflecting the green landscape of the region.
Upper Hutt 2013 was held from 13 to 15 September at the Expressions Arts and Entertainment Centre, 836 Fergusson Drive, Upper Hutt. Located 30 kilometres north-east of Wellington city, Upper Hutt boasts 70 per cent of the region’s parks and reserves, and this was the first time the city has hosted a national stamp show.
