This stamp was issued earlier than the main Christmas issue in 2005 for international sending.
Issue information
The $1 Christmas Card Stamp was released earlier than the main Christmas 2005 issue to ensure people were able to send Christmas cards overseas at a special rate in time for Christmas.
The stamp, which featured the gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh that the Three Kings brought to the baby Jesus, was available in a self-adhesive $1 booklet and as a first day cover.
The $1 Christmas card special products were distributed with the King Kong products in October 2005.
The full Christmas issue was available in November 2005.
