The stamp design depicts the statue of Peter Pan in the Kensington Gardens, London. This subject was chosen for the stamp issue because of its symbolic theme of immortal youth. The statue was the work of Sir George Frampton, a renowned sculptor and one of the original eight members of the British School of Sculpture.

The proceeds of the 'Health' value of these 1945 Health stamps were donated to the Children's Health Camps movement.
