The Last March of the Ents
All stamps in The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers 20th Anniversary were based on original artworks by Sacha Lees. Three of these paintings have been issued as limited-edition art prints. These hand-signed prints include a canceled stamp and are marked with their limited-edition number. A great gift for any The Lord of the Rings fan, only 250 of each print have been produced.
Under the care of Treebeard, Merry and Pippin try to convince the frustratingly sedate tree-like creature and his fellow Ents to join the battle against Saruman. The Ents initially refuse, but upon seeing the devastation left by Saruman at the edge of Fangorn Forest they are compelled to attack. Treebeard was created with both CGI and a full-scale puppet his voice was provided by John Rhys-Davies, the actor who played Gimli.
The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers 20th Anniversary celebrates the talent of Kiwi filmmakers and the film's legacy in Aotearoa New Zealand. Click here for more information about the stamp issue.
