Set of 20 x $4.90 'Antarctic seafloor biodiversity' gummed stamps
Anemones and other marine invertebrates cover the seafloor near Scott Base, forming a diverse benthic community. Extending their tentacles into the water column, anemones feed on suspended matter and small prey. Under artificial light, the seafloor reveals vivid colours rarely seen in natural conditions, illustrating the richness of life that exists beneath Antarctica’s sea-ice.
This stamp issue explores the unseen world beneath the Antarctic sea-ice. Click here for more information.
