COVID-19 announcements
Update 6 - 8 September 2021
From today, New Zealand (with the exception of Auckland) will move down to Alert Level 2. Operations at Whanganui can continue to fulfil orders.
NZ Post is currently experiencing delays of up to two working days due to the effects of increased safety measures and increased volumes of parcels. The team at Whanganui continues to work through a backlog of operational tasks which has had additional impact on delivery times.

Update 5 - 1 September 2021
From today, New Zealand will move down to Alert Level 3 (south of Auckland). Auckland and Northland will remain at Alert Level 4. Operations at Whanganui will now be able to fulfil orders.
Please note that due to increased safety measures at depots, NZ Post is currently experiencing delays of up to two working days. The team at Whanganui will also be working through a backlog of operational tasks which may have additional impact on delivery times.

Update 4 - 27 August 2021
The Prime Minister and Ministry of Health announced an extension to Alert Level 4 today. New Zealand will remain in a nationwide lockdown until 11.59pm on Tuesday, 31 August 2021. From Wednesday, New Zealand will move down to Alert Level 3 (south of Auckland). Auckland and Northland will remain at Alert Level 4. Our operations in Whanganui will therefore remain on hold until Wednesday next week.

Update 3 - 23 August 2021
The Prime Minister and Ministry of Health announced an extension to Alert Level 4 today. New Zealand will remain in a nationwide lockdown until 11.59pm on Friday, 27 August 2021. Our operations in Whanganui will therefore remain on hold until the following business day: Monday, August 30.

Update 2 - 23 August 2021
The Prime Minister and Ministry of Health announced an extension to Alert Level 4 on 20 August 2021. New Zealand will remain in a nationwide lockdown until 11.59pm on 24 August 2021.
Our operations in Whanganui will therefore remain on hold until 25 August. This may change if the Level 4 period is again extended. An announcement is expected to be made 4pm 23 August (NZDT).

Update 1 - 18 August 2021
Following an announcement from the Prime Minister and Ministry of Health, New Zealand entered Alert Level 4 at 11.59pm on 17 August 2021. Our operations in Whanganui will be put on hold until 23 August. This may change if the Level 4 period is extended.
While you may make orders in the meantime, please note that they will not be fulfilled until after this date. If you have any questions, you can contact us at collectables@nzpost.co.nz.
