This art print features a pictorial decimal stamp originally issued in 1970, designed by Enid Hunter, illustrating a native New Zealand butterfly species - the Glade Copper Butterfly.
This native insect is common in wasteland areas throughout the country during the summer. The larva, which often hibernates in winter, feeds on muehlenbeckia vine.
