The Dominion Publicity Panel of The King George V Memorial Children's Health Camps Federation recommended the 1952 Health stamp design features Prince Charles and Princess Anne.

Issue information

The portrayal of the Royal children was considered most appropriate in view of the proposed visit to New Zealand of their parents and a fitting tribute to the great grandchildren of the late King George V in whose memory the New Zealand Health Camps are dedicated.

The British Post Office selected two suitable for reproduction on the New Zealand stamps from a selection of photographs obtained from Marcus Adams Ltd. The proceeds of the 'Health' value of these 1952 Health stamps were donated to the Children's Health Camps movement.
