In 2006, New Zealand Post stamps provided us with a wonderful glimpse of the people, places, events and perspectives that have shaped and continue to influence our daily lives.
In 2006 we looked back at history with our issues on the 1931 Hawke’s Bay earthquake and the New Zealand gold rushes. We travelled the country with our scenic stamps and celebrated Queen Elizabeth II’s 80th birthday. We treasured the children and animals in our lives with our children’s health and Year of the Dog collections.
Of course there was more – a whole 12 months of stamps that we were proud to present in The New Zealand Collection 2006. Providing a superb record of a year of stamp diversity, this lovely album was a must for stamp collectors everywhere.
Ordering your personal copy ensured you had not only a complete collection of 2006’s stamps but also rich commentary on the stories behind them.
Father Des Britten, well known for his cuisine and community work, provided us with an insight on ‘what Christmas means to me’. Phillip O’Shea CNZM, LVO, New Zealand’s Herald of Arms Extraordinary to The Queen, writes about Her Majesty and the Royal family. Other editorial was written exclusively for this album by experts in their fields.
Enlightening and informative, it was a book that absorbed you for hours!
