The Pan Pacific Philatelic Exhibition was held in the Horticultural Hall and CSA Gallery, Christchurch between 5 - 12 March 1977.
Issue information
The concept of a stamped adhesive label was the original idea of the Exhibition organising committee and was approved by the New Zealand Post Office. The labels were used singly on pre exhibition mailings to supporting members. Sheets were also sold for fundraising purposes. Sheets comprised four three cent labels bearing the Queen Elizabeth II embossed stationery die in green and black, separated by a roulette perforation.

Issued 23 June 1976: Each label was surcharged "Additional 4c Postage Paid" as the result of a postage rate increase.
