New Zealand Post was excited to bring you a preview of the next generation of our succesful 'personalised stamps' in 2006.

Issue information

For kiwis around the country, and those receiving New Zealand mail abroad, personalised stamps were a fantastic opportunity to add a personalised touch to the postage experience.

This set of personalised stamps was available as a sheetlet of ten stamps and a first day cover. This was a real collector’s item as it would be the only formal opportunity to purchase the ten individual stamp designs together. Event specific and Kiwiana stamp images are available in 45c, $1.50 and $2.00 denominations.

The 2006 Personalised Stamps included some great Kiwi icons like the Buzzy Bee and the fern, as well as more generic festive and celebration symbols like the brilliant red flowering pōhutakawa and champagne glasses.

These personalised stamps were a superb way to communicate emotion and occasion to friends and family around the world. With the opportunity to add your own image in the adjoining tab, this was the ‘next generation’ of personalised stamps allowing your personal photo to be presented in both landscape and portrait format, with an increased image area.
